Mydolls is an experimental, female-fronted art-punk band from Houston that’s been playing since 1978. Their earliest material was released by C.I.A. in the 80s. “Speak Softly and Carry a Big Stick” was their first vinyl 12”. Side Speak Softly was recorded at Sugar Hill Recording Studios. Side Big Stick songs were recorded live on tour. 'Rape of a Culture' was recorded live at JB's in Kent, Ohio. “Christmas Day” and “21st Century Compliments”were recorded live at The Jockey Club, Newport, KY.
“A World of Her Own” was performed by the band in Wim Wenders’ film, Paris, Texas (1984) which won the Palme d’Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival.

Linda Younger: guitar, vocals, bass. Trish Herrera: guitar, vocals and sticks. Dianna Ray: bass, vocals and Velcro. George Reyes: drums and percussion.
