A request from The POPEBOY Collective for some drum tracks instigated the initial studio session on May 11th, 2021. I invited Sonia, who I respect highly. The recording engineer who I'd never met invited two more players for me. We improvised and recorded the acoustic instruments live.
The first reaction from The Collective was cool. Sonia and I took them to Scott Ayer's studio and fiddled with them for a while.

Improvising with the drums and bass viol in the spring of 2022, Scott added his guitar sounds. I was curious when he mentioned it, so we met and focused. A simmering in Houston's steamy summer with camaraderie and concentration produced something different than I expected.
